About King Laser Studios

My Corporate career began as a Carpenter in the early 80's, making cabinets and whatever needed to be done to manage a Corporate facility in downtown Chicago. As I progressed into facility management I continued my education and became a licensed (Illinois) Architect. Through the years I designed industrial products, more corporate spaces than I can list, and led site development for a small e-commerce company called Amazon. Constructing and launching offices and call centers around the world for Seller support, my designs reflect the cultures of more than 16 countries I've worked in over the past 50 years. 

My therapy over the years have been my woodshop and my motorcycle, they kept me focused. In 2024 I retired from the Corporate gig and went back to my roots, woodworking. Over the years I amassed over 40,000 photos of the places I worked in around the world. From the Great Pyramids to the fast-paced city life of Manilla to the streets of Munich. 

Realizing I had been blessed to see so many places and things in my career I decided to share those images through my art.

The original laser-painted canvases, ceramics and wood engraving are from my personal collection.

I hope that through my art I can share the amazing sites and convey the various cultures I came to know and love.  David King
